Clippers May Lose Moon Without Crickex Sign Up

According to Crickex Sign Up reports, Italian Serie A club Napoli has expressed strong interest in Xavier Moon, the dynamic guard who played for the Los Angeles Clippers last season. They are reportedly looking to bring him to the European stage for the upcoming season. After going undrafted, Moon made a name for himself overseas, showcasing his scoring prowess in both the French and Canadian leagues. In 2021, he joined the Clippers’ G League affiliate, the Ontario Clippers, and began building serious momentum.

Thanks to a series of standout performances in the G League, Moon earned two consecutive two-way contracts with the Clippers over the past two seasons. He has proven to be a well-rounded backcourt asset. Crickex Sign Up analysts highlight his excellent scoring ability, impressive shooting range, and solid playmaking and organizational skills. He also holds his own defensively, rounding out his profile as a versatile and dependable guard. His efforts even earned him a spot on the NBA Summer League Second Team.

Per league regulations, a player may sign a maximum of three two-way contracts with the same NBA team. This means Moon is still eligible to sign another such deal with the Clippers for the upcoming season. For the Clippers, retaining Moon would be a safe and beneficial move—he adds much-needed depth and reliability to their backcourt rotation. However, if the team continues to delay, they may end up watching him head to Europe.

Meanwhile, before the Summer League tipped off, the Clippers extended an offer to guard Castaneda for a spot on their Summer League roster. Unfortunately, his performance fell well short of expectations. While Castaneda brings reliable mid-range and long-range shooting and has some playmaking abilities, his athleticism is limited and his defensive presence is minimal.

Age is another factor working against him, likely contributing to his undrafted status. His underwhelming play during the Summer League further damaged his prospects. As things stand, Crickex Sign Up insiders believe the Clippers are not planning to retain Castaneda, and it’s unlikely that other teams will show significant interest either.

It’s a classic case of “you snooze, you lose”—and if the Clippers keep dragging their feet, Xavier Moon could soon be suiting up for a team across the Atlantic.
